การศึกษา : ปริญญาตรีจากคณะจิตรกรรมประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร
ปริญญาโทจาก Aichi Prefectural University of Fine and Music ประเทศญี่ปุ่น
เป็นผู้ประสบการณ์ด้านการสอนศิลปะและเป็นศิลปินไทยคนแรกที่ได้คิดค้นการพิมพ์ภาพพิมพ์โดยใช้สีจากธรรมชาติ หลังจบการศึกษาได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานอย่างต่อเนื่องเสมอมาจนสามารถแสดงงานเดี่ยวและงานกลุ่มมากมาย ได้รับรางวัลหลายรางวัลทั้งในระดับประเทศและต่างประเทศ อาทิเช่น Misiem Yipinsoi Scholarship. : “Outstanding Student of H.M. the King’s Scholarship” , The Bureau of the King’s Property. : H.R.H. Prince Narissara Nuwatiwongse Foundation Scholarship. : “Outstanding Student of H.M. the King’s Scholarship” , The Bureau of the King’s Property. : Japanese Government Scholarship. (Monbusho). : Italia Government Scholarship. รางวัลที่ 3 เหรียญทองแดงบัวหลวง ประเภทจิตรกรรมร่วมสมัย ครั้งที่ 7 ปี 2526 โดยมูลนิธิธนาคารกรุงเทพ และเมื่อปี 2550 ได้รับรางวัลผลงานประดิษฐ์คิดค้น ประจำปี 2550 “ เรื่อง กระบวนการสร้างภาพพิมพ์ด้วยสีธรรมชาติ” จากสภาวิจัยแห่งชาติ ซึ่แสดงให้เห็นว่าญาณวิทย์เป็นศิลปินคุณภาพในวงการศิลปภาพพิมพ์ ปัจจุบันดำรงตำแหน่งผู้ช่วยอธิการบดี ฝ่านศิลปวัฒนธรรม มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร
Yanawit Kunchaethong
Born : 3 March 1957, Petchburi
Education : Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts (Graphic Art), Faclty of painting Scultureand Graphic Arts and Master Degree from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine and Music, Japan
Yanawit has a great experience in art teaching. He is the first artist who develops the printing technique of natural colors. Through the time after the graduation, he has created numerous artworks and joined several group and solo exhibition. He is also granted many awards both at national and international events such as Misiem Yipinsoi Scholarship. : “Outstanding Student of H.M. the King’s Scholarship” , The Bureau of the King’s Property. : H.R.H. Prince Narissara Nuwatiwongse Foundation Scholarship. : “Outstanding Student of H.M. the King’s Scholarship” , The Bureau of the King’s Property. : Japanese Government Scholarship. (Monbusho). : Italia Government Scholarship. In 2004, he was granted the Invention Award 2006 for “Printing Process by Natural Colors” from National Research Council of Thailand. This proves that Yanawit is a qualified printing artist and a young executive. He was the head of Departmant of Graphic Art. Now, he holds the positions of Vice Rector for Art and Cultural Affairs, Silpakorn University.
