การศึกษา : ปริญญาตรีและปริญญาโท จากคณะจิตรกรรมประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร
ได้รับทุน Asian Culture Council (J.D. Rocketfeller 3rd) ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา
มีประสบการณ์ด้านการสอนศิลปะในสถาบันที่มีชื่อเสียงทั้งในประเทศญี่ปุ่น แคนาดาและสหรัฐอเมริกา ได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยม พ.ศ. 2535 จากการแสดงศิลปกรรมแห่งชาติ สาขาภาพพิมพ์ นอกจากนี้ยังมีบทบาทสำคัญด้านภาพพิมพ์ในระดับนานาชาติ เคยได้รับรางวัลจากการแสดงภาพพิมพ์นานาชาติทั่วโลกกว่า 10 รางวัล และเคยได้รับเชิญเป็นผู้บรรยายพิเศษให้กับมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำในต่างประเทศหลายแห่ง เช่น The University of Alberta. Department of Art and Design, Canada , The University of Connecticut Art and Art History, USA. ,Tokyo National University, Japan, Kyoto Seika University Kyoto, Japan, Tama Art University, Tokyo, Japan รางวัลที่ 3 เหรียญทองแดงบัวหลวง ประเภทจิตรกรรมร่วมสมัย ครั้งที่ 5 ปี 2524 รางวัลที่ 2 เหรียญเงินบัวหลวง จิตรกรรมร่วมสมัย ครั้งที่ 6 ปี 2525

Education : Bachelor and Master Degrees of Fine Arts (Painting), Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, as well as the Scholarship from Asian Culture Council (J.D. Rocketfeller 3rd), USA.
Thavorn is a man of great experiences in art teaching in the prominent institutes of Japan, Canada and USA.
In present, he holds the position of Assistant Professor, Department of Graphic Arts, Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University
In 1992, he was awarded the Artist of Distinction from the National Exhibition of Art (Graphic Art).Thavorn Takes an important role in printmaking and granted more than 10 awads from the Exhibition of Printmaking at the global level. He was a great lecturer for many leading universities such as The University of Alberta; Department of Art and Design, Canada; The University of Connecticut Art and Art History, USA. ,Tokyo National University, Japan, Kyoto Seika University Kyoto, Japan, Tama Art University, Tokyo, Japan
