อลงกรณ์ หล่อวัฒนา จิตรกรไทยแนวร่วมสมัยระดับแถวหน้า จัดแสดงผลงานเดี่ยวครั้งล่าสุดในนิทรรศการ “Present Perfect ความดีที่ยังดำเนินต่อไป” โดยรวบรวมผลงานจิตรกรรมแนวจิตวิญญาณไทยจำนวนกว่า 200 ชิ้น ที่สร้างสรรค์มายาวนานเกือบ 35 ปี เพื่อสะท้อนตัวตนที่ผันไปสู่จุดพัฒนาเปลี่ยนแปลง จนกลายเป็นอัตลักษณ์เฉพาะตน นิทรรศการจัดแสดง ณ หอศิลป์สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ระหว่างวันที่ 12 มีนาคม -12 เมษายน 2559

อลงกรณ์ หล่อวัฒนา เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 14 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ.2507 โดยมีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ที่จังหวัดน่าน เขามีความสนใจในศิลปะมาตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ ชื่นชอบผลงานจิตรกรรมฝาผนังตามวัดในท้องถิ่นที่ตนพำนักอยู่ จึงหมั่นฝึกฝนทักษะด้านศิลปะมาโดยตลอด เมื่อเติบโตขึ้นจึงมุ่งมั่นที่จะเรียนศิลปะอย่างจริงจัง โดยสามารถสอบเข้าศึกษาต่อในคณะจิตรกรรม ประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรได้ และนับว่าเป็นเรื่องที่ยากนักหากทราบว่า ก่อนหน้านั้น อลงกรณ์ ซึ่งยังศึกษาอยู่ในระดับปวช.เคยได้รับรางวัลที่ 3 เหรียญทองแดง ประเภทจิตรกรรมไทยประเพณี ในการประกวดจิตรกรรมบัวหลวงครั้งที่ 9 (พ.ศ. 2528) สืบเนื่องให้ในเวลาต่อมา อลงกรณ์ ได้รับความไว้วางใจในฝีมือจากปัญญา วิจินธนสาร และเฉลิมชัย โฆษิตพิพัฒน์ ให้ร่วมทีมเพื่อเดินทางไปเขียนภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังวัดพุทธปทีป ณ กรุงลอนดอน ประเทศอังกฤษ

การเป็นจิตรกรโดยอาชีพเป็นเป้าหมายที่ชัดเจนของอลงกรณ์ หล่อวัฒนา เขาจึงเลือกไปเรียนต่อในระดับปริญญาโทสาขาจิตรกรรมที่ประเทศอินเดีย เพื่อกลับไปค้นหารากเหง้าจิตวิญญาณไทยอันเป็นพุทธปรัชญา จึงสังเกตได้ว่างานที่เป็นจุดเด่นของเขาในช่วงแรกจะมีลักษณะของลายเส้นไทยประเพณี ก่อนจะมาเป็นไทยร่วมสมัย แม้จะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงเล็กน้อย แต่เทคนิคและความเป็นตัวตนก็ยังเป็นตัวเขาอยู่ดี เขาเผยว่างานแต่ละชิ้นมักเกิดขึ้นมาจากสิ่งแวดล้อมที่มากระทบ จากที่แต่เดิมเขามักจะทำแต่เรื่องพุทธศาสนา

ในครั้งนี้ ผลงานจิตรกรรมไทยร่วมสมัย อันประกอบด้วยภาพอุปมาอุปมัย ภาพปริศนาธรรม ประติมากรรม จำนวนกว่า 200 ชิ้น ของ อลงกรณ์ หล่อวัฒนา ซึ่งเป็นการรวมผลงานตั้งแต่ปีพ.ศ. 2524 จนถึงปัจจุบัน ถูกนำมาจัดแสดงไว้ในนิทรรศการ “Present Perfect ความดีที่ยังดำเนินต่อไป” เพื่อบอกกล่าวถึงตัวผลงานจิตรกรรมที่ได้นำคติความเชื่อ ความศรัทธาที่มีต่อพุทธธรรม เหตุการณ์ปัจจุบันของโลกสังคม เศรษฐกิจ การเมือง กระแสวัฒนธรรมต่างชาติ ผ่านการพิจารณาธรรมเพื่อนำมาแก้ไข ปรับปรุง เปลี่ยนแปลงตนเองให้รู้เท่าทันตามสภาวธรรมของตน ผู้สนใจสามารถเข้าชมนิทรรศการได้ระหว่างวันที่ 12 มีนาคม – 12 เมษายน 2559 ทุกวัน ยกเว้นวันพุธ ตั้งแต่เวลา 10.00 – 19.00 น. ณ หอศิลป์สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ

Thai Contemporary renowned artist, Alongkorn Lauwatthana proudly presents his latest solo exhibition called “Present Perfect”. Over 200 works of art that have been created for the past 35 years with the aim to reflect artist’s identity and self-improvement through the spiritual Thai contemporary art. The exhibition will be on show at The Queen’s Gallery from 12th March- 12th April 2016.
Alongkorn Lauwatthana was born on 14th July 1964 in Nan province. With a passion in Thai art from his childhood, Alongkorn was inspired by Nan local mural paintings and has always been practicing Thai art ever since so that he could one day become a professional artist. For bachelor degree, he managed to get in to Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Art, Silpakorn University. When Alongkorn was only in vocational school, he also received Bualuang Bronze Medal in the Traditional Thai Painting category of Bualuang Painitngs Contest in 1985. Being recognized by winning this award, he was invited by Panya Vijinthanasarn and Chalermchai Kositpipat to join the mural painting project at Buddhapadipa Temple in London, United Kingdom.
“To become a professional artist” has always been Alongkorn’s goal, thus, he further focused his master degree study of fine arts in India in order to seek for the roots of Buddhist philosophy which is the most essential part in Thai art. Accordingly, Alongkorn’s early series of art are recognizable by the use of Thai traditional outline. He was later on developed his technique with contents other than Buddhism, yet he still carried on his identity into his further series of art that vary by current situation and environment.
“Present Perfect” exhibition displays over 200 Thai contemporary works of art including analogy paintings, Buddhist riddle paintings, and sculptures dated back from 1981 to present. The works of art aim to express Alongkorn’s strong faith of Buddhism and to convey audience’s awareness towards today’s modernization, social, political, cultural, and economic contexts. “Present Perfect” exhibition will be held at the Queen’s Gallery from 12th March- 12th April 2016, 10.00AM- 7.00PM every day except Wednesday.
