The artists in Time Less Held revisit the long-standing art historical, and contemporaneously important, claim that what we typically overlook in our daily lives carries strange beauty and underestimated significance. But this interest is less explored here than questions of how and why the seemingly non-insightful-banal or tedious-acts on us.
The general theme considers artists’ longstanding or historic interest in the grey areas between what can be considered ugly or beautiful, significant or insignificant. And the core of the show is a consideration of how aspects of our daily environment act on us, and thus how we try and make sense of typically ambiguous experiences and relationships.
